A big congrats to Claudia and Cirenio, each of whom has been recognized with multiple awards. Both received awards from the Western Poultry Scholarship and Research Foundation. Claudia has additionally received two awards from the Dept. Animal Science at UC Davis: the 2022-23 Kratzer, Ogasawara & Vohra award and the Ursula Knight Abbott Research Travel Grant, which she will use to spend time learning research analysis methods in the lab of Dr. Jennifer Van Os (Univ. Wisconsin-Madison). Cirenio Hisasaga is the recipient of the graduate scholarship from the Delmarva Poultry Association.
