While at the Makagon Lab….
Brittany’s thesis research investigated whether scatter feeding is a viable form of enrichment for commercial broiler chickens. Her first-author publication is forthcoming (having been delayed by the coronavirus pandemic). Brittany received one of only two 2017 Arthur W. Perdue M.S. Fellowships awarded nationally that year. She was the recipient of the 2017 Jastro-Shields award and an Ursula Abbott Travel Award.

Where is she now?
Since obtaining her degree, Brittany has been working in a veterinary clinic and as a 3rd grade teacher.
