Research Interests and Activities:
Jamie’s main interests focus on poultry disease and flock health monitoring, as well as microbe-livestock interactions. Her long-term career goal is to be a poultry veterinarian or pathologist. Currently, Jamie supports research activities in our lab and the lab of Dr. Richard Blatchford. She works on a multi-disciplinary project that examines genetic and environmental contributions to keel bone fracture development in laying hens.
Fun fact: In elementary and middle school, Jamie bred golden pheasants, polish chickens, quail, and axolotls!
